Post Ron Hill Props?
Looking to replace my MBLT prop.

Im looking for a 9x4 and I dont think Mud buddy sells a 9x4? This is for a 20HP Honda on a heavy all welded 1448 grizzly.

Anyone have anything bad to say about Ron Hill props? I know they are much cheaper then the stock replacement brands?

From everything I've read, heard, & seen, he's a copy cat that turns out a sub par product. Never personally dealt with him or his products, but know of a few that have. If I were you, I'd buy from MB if at all possible.

I decided to purchase from Ron Hill. $166 bucks shipped to my door here in Canada. MB prop would have cost me $235. His ebay sales are very high, with only 2 conplaints and he returned my emails fast. I have my fingers crossed that shipping will be fast.

I bought a Ron hill prop for my 25Gdlt BIG mistake , never again Go devil is the only way to go for there motors , if it a Mudbuddy pay the extra for the Mudbuddy prop , the Ron Hill prop that I bought said 9x7 and when compared to the 9x7 godevil BIG diffence in size.

I've heard of a bunch of people getting mis-sized props.

Ok seems people put the negative out there first always. I read on here there is a longtail running 30 mph with a hill prop. Also hill prop was the go fast mudmotor prop. Personaly i use a 9x7 ,I am surface driving a 9x7 Ron hill prop with a 6.5 homemade surfacedrive mudmotor, 17 mph 2 people 1436 flat. His props are durable. Hard to believe 3,4,5........... complaints on here compared to his thousand of satisfied customers. He still sells the crap out of his props, so obviously he doing something right. Just my opinion

All the manufacturers props are different somewhat in cup and pitch etc........... They are all different , so when you switch fro a godevil prop to another brand there is a learning curve. I bet a Mudbuddy and a Godevil prop are different also, as is the surfacedrive manufacturers props. godevil 35hp longtail prop is 10x6; mudbuddy 35 hp longtail is 10x5. GD 23 longtail is 9x6; MB longtail recommends 9x5 or 9x6 light boat. The manufacturers have different designs, cups etc............ Ron Hill has his unique design and cup etc........ So it is trial and error. The Hill props are not superior or inferior, they are just different.

I have 4 Ron Hill props, 2 for my sd and 2 for my lt. All perform flawlessly. Alot of people on here dont like them just because they dont have a go-devil or mud buddy high price name on them. As i said, mine work great as long as youre not underpowered. Personally, I think I would go with a 9x6 for a 20 hp. I have an 8x6 on my 13 lt and get around 16 - 17 mph on average.

I just got my 9x6 Ron Hill for my 24 LT and they f*cked the thread up so bad threading it that it wont go onto the brand new shaft I got. when called they said take it to a machine shop and get it rethreaded or send it back to them and wait two weeks for it.

we had a little honda 8hp on a small kevlar mud boat that would do like 18 with a skinny mofo in it.
