Has anyone tried a 2 blade MB 12.5 big prop instead of the 3 blade GD prop. Any advantages or stay with 3 blade?

Can you run a big 2 blade GT prop on a 35 Go-devil SD. will it fit?

I am just interested in :if a two is better overall... need to push a load and for speed. If a 3 is fine I will go that route on a new one. thanks

I run a 35 GDSD the motor has a Mikuni Carb, Marsh-mellow exhaust, and Iron Mountain heads, I have run both 2 and 3 blade props. During Gator season I had 3 guys in my boat, I weigh 270, and both of my buddies weigh around 240. we had a 8 1/2 foot gator, trolling motor 2 batteries cooler, and all our other misc. gator gear on a 1660 GDSD boat and according to the GPS we were running 23-24 in deep water 26-27 in the skinny stuff, with a 3 blade prop. I find the three blade works the best for me as I can run full throttle and not worry about hitting the rev limiter with a 2 blade I can only run about 3/4 throttle . I also find the 3 blade has better hole shot, but I have to replace it about every 30-40 hours to maintain optimum performance, if I am running in the thick crap.
