I had seen a surface drive today, it was a 29HP vanguard. It had a longer lower unit than normal. I was wondering if anyone knew what this type of surface drive is called? and if they are any good? |

You probably saw an older mudbuddy from around 2004-2006. Back then the drives were longer and then they started getting shorter and shorter. They stopped using the 29's a while back. |

The power head is basically a 35. Shorter stroke, smaller carb, different cams and stuff. The frame is what it is... |
