Any tips on how to get the front seal out of the outdrive? Mine is leaking and I need to change it but getting it out with the shaft still in there isn't working real well

I know someone post how to do it on here and that's how I just did mine. There are 3 screws on the front of the gear take 2 out and u have to tighten the one to get that off the take the pin off and the seal should be easy after that man. I'll ask my buddy what it is under and post it on here.

I've got the gear, taper lock, spacer, and snap ring off. It's just the actual seal. Having trouble pulling It out the front with the shaft in there. Doesn't leave much room to work

Either slide the shaft back After you pull the prop, and rear bearing housing out you can slide it out enough to get some room to yank the seal. If you do not want to do this, Im sure you can use a screwdriver to destroy the seal to remove it.

I never taken a MB shaft apart, but the GTR is simple as pie. Just destroy the seal, and re install the new one carefully. Grease the shaft/ seal lips first so you dont ruin the seal.

Not familiar with these setups but in ATV's and other seals i drill a small hole in the metal part and start a screw into the hole then pull the seal out with the screw. If it doesn't come out easily I'll drill another hole 180 degrees from that one and put another screw. Then I can pull on both screws at once.

I don't see how he could get a drill in there.
