Me personally, I'd just stick with a factory replacement. Thats what I've always done on my lt and sd |

ok thanks, would a smaller diameter prop increase my rpms and therefore increase my speed and "weed cutting" abilities? |

Go Devils website calls for a 9x6. If you have a bigger boat, heavy loads, a 9x5 may run better. With a real light boat and light loads a 9x7 may run better. But a 9x6 would be more of an all around prop. http://www.ebay.com/itm/9-X-6-Back-Wate ... 5d25aebfe9 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Propeller-22-HP ... 1c18db36d0 http://www.godevil.com/GO-DEVIL_Props.html More rpms doesn't always equal more speed. If the prop doesn't have any "bite"(cup, pitch) you can spin high rpms and not go anywhere. I'd start with a 9x6. If your rpms are high, you can go to a 9x7 and your rpms will drop about 200. If your rpms are low, you can go to a 9x5 and your rpms will increase about 200. Also, run the motor out of the water and see how many rpms you can get up to and then report back. I think a 23 should be around 4000 out of the water and 37-3800 in the water. There are some adjustments you can make behind the motor to the throttle nuts and springs, to bring rpms up. |

X2 --- get you a 9x6 from GD - best all around - the 9x7 is too much pitch LOL - no the GD 3 blade won't fit - unless you are really handy with a torch |
