 Props are all wrong!
I was talking with robert4wd and looking at each others boat. we noticed that on my 23GTR the prop is stamped on the center of it the same as the 35GTR. i have been wondering about my prop from day one that it was huge and that it was a 35GTR prop. i turn 3500 with two guys in my boat with all my mods. i would think i would be closer to 4000 with my mods. when i picked my motor up at GTR it was right before lunch and they had rigged out another motor with a shorter shaft and was trying to put it on my boat when i noticed they had to set up the other motor besides it and hurry and get it all set up and was wondering if it might have got a 35GTR prop instead. What i need to know is there a difference in the 23GTR and 35GTR and what is it and how do i tell? Are they stamped different on the hub part and whats the 23GTR suppost to say compared to the 35GTR stamp?

I'm pretty sure the 23's run an 11" prop.

 Re: Props are all wrong!
With three guys in my boat (260, 230 and 205) my GTR23 on my 1540 chugs along at about 10 mph, sort of like a tug boat. No getting on plane with that much weight.
My prop is 11" in diameter.

 Re: Props are all wrong!
Clickster, just measure your prop and if it's 12 inches, then it's probably for the 35hp. If it's 11 inches, it's probably the right prop (although I know GT did make an 11 inch prop for the 35hp at one time).

 Re: Props are all wrong!
The 11" and 12" look the same and are stamped the same so you have to measure it.

 Re: Props are all wrong!
The last 11" prop I seen was on Lil Peppy and it had some CUP on the blade tip, the 12" really dosent have much cup in the tip.

 Props are all wrong!
You probably have a 35 prop seeing as you have 50hrs and run SETX mud and have 11.5"
Call Gator-Tail about a new prop.
