 MB TRIM QUESTION?
I have 35 MB on 1844 Gator Trax This weekend I noticed the trim making a grinding sound when trimming up or down. Is this something I should worry about or maybe just some sand making noise.
Have any of you had any experience with this.
I'm probably just being overly cautious but I would rather find out here than in the marsh.
It's rather difficult to find a dealer in my area. The Gator Trax dealer is 3 hours away....so I don't want to take it unless it's something to worry about.
Thanks in advance.

 Re: MB TRIM QUESTION?
i think those are electric (actuators). had trouble with one on my 35 hyper, ended up buying a heavy duty trim tab actuator from Lenco and retrofitting it on. As far as i know she's still workin'. The fix ended up costing around $200.00. If you have access to a Donovan Marine catalog, you can get them there.

 Re: MB TRIM QUESTION?
The grinding is not a good sign. If the motor/actuator is less than a year old you can get it replaced under warranty- call your dealer. If not is about $230 for a new Thompson unit from MB.
Install is pretty simple, shouldn't need to go back to the dealer if its that far away.
I would get it checked on, call your dealer you bought it from.
