Post Prop question- more pitch, more cup?
Running a 36 PD with Stsge 1.To keep RPM down at 4250 I have to keep motor trimmed down to the point where there is no rooster tail at all,it looks like an outboard wake. Would more cup or pitch help me where I can trim out more and would there be a speed gain? Would adding cup or pitch help or hurt when in the mud? Running a factory prop but not worn down at all.

If you add 1inch of pitch your rpm's will drop about 200-250 or so.

Theoretically, more pitch=more speed...of course this is dependent upon your rpm's.

I had the same problem as you after I modded my motor. Get a set of high rev coils I believe there even on sale right now. You'll be glad you did!!

Without a cam you wont be on the 4700 rev limiter. IMO its cheaper and easier than dealing with custom props. If you have a cam I would be thinking rev limiter and custom prop.
