Just bought a PD36. Was wondering if there was a prop other than the factory that will perform better on this motor? Also I could have sworn I came across a site that sold different gears for the pro dive. Would that be a better way to get more speed out of it? I don't deal with too much mud and only carry moderate loads. Also the motor has no mods. |

go with a PD prop, as good if not better than any. No "gears" to change speeds on a mudmotor, only gears are in the lower unit on a pd....... but you could put a cam in it to improve load carrying capacity. |

I know the gears are in the lower unit, but if you change the "gear ratio" it will change the performance. I may be wrong about seeing those gears but I think i did. and meterman let me know next time you go out and I'll try to meet up with ya. |
