I have a 35MB with 27 inch shaft which has cracked. I was wondering when I replace it if I should go with a longer one for more performance? Either 32 or 40 just wondering. |

Down here anything longer than 27 just gets in the way. |

I recently switched to a 32" and I find it to be much better. I run everything from bottomless marsh to stumpy swamp |

I run a 40in shaft in nothing but hardpan bottoms and veggies... so far I have liked its... I'm sure a 32in would have been okay... but dam this thing is long from what I seen it can be trimmed up more than what the 27in could and never bounces on the bottom of the river anymore... prop saver for sure... since I upgraded my motor to spin High rpms it took all the tiller torque away at wot... but you better make sure you have a good hold of it when you drop the hammer down... |

Thanks for all the info. Looks like I might try the 32 |
