 New Pro Drive Lite
Since EVT is so far away thought I would these guys a try www.mudboatmotor.com they are big into the Lawn mower racing game. And they are local so I won't have to ship it. I will post up as things happen. The numbers before I pulled the motor. Just me 25.4 on the GPS when everything was new but just a few weeks back we had 5 in the boat, couldn't get on plane and top speed was 8.5 . Ordered a new prop from PD and it helped but it just needs more power to push this tug.

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
SS, Where they located?
Also, a quick question for you.....How do you like the Hide? If you had a choice again, would you pick the hide or another Mud boat?

Dropped it off today. In a matter if minutes of it being unloaded from the truck Sheldon had a tech pulling the cam for a workover. Feel the need the need for speed

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
SS, Have you run the Hide in the salt? I run alot of Tampa Bay and the Gulf coast. I wasnt aware of the Hide until after I bought my boat. But I like the concept alot and was thinking the next boat COULD be the Hide.
Let me know..

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
UPDATE: The new cam came in and the work has begun. I think Sheldon may join up here if he isn't a member already and post a few pic's and add something to the story line.

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
Had someone ask where my post was, I told him in Engines & Engine Mod Talk, he said it wasn't there. I can see now it was moved to props and lower units, maybe because of the first pic? Who knows when I post the pics of the motor in pieces and the add on's it will get moved back

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
Sheldon said it should be done today and ready for pickup. I forgot to order the new clutch until yesterday so it's going to be a few more days until it's ready for the test drive. I had to get a new clutch because when we pulled the original off it was in pieces and stuck on the shaft.

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
Well we got the motor back yesterday afternoon but the new clutch hadn't come in yet. I think I posted earlier that we had to use a puller to get the clutch off when we removed the motor. But we really wanted to run the motor so we installed the old clutch to see if we could get by until the new one came in. Just as we finished cleaning up UPS rolls up with the new clutch. So instead of running it we pulled it back apart and install the new clutch. Took the boat over the Sheldon this morning for a bit if fine tuning and plan on going over to pick it up around 5 to take it to the lake for a few test runs.

 Re: New Pro Drive Lite
Well test run 1 is complete.
New cam, decked heads, valve job, intake and carb cleanup. Still running stock exhaust and air cleaner. Solo pre mods the best I could get was 23 (3840) in shallow water. This morning 27.2 (4220) in deep water (just hit the closest lake) and with 4 guys in the boat before 18 (3800) in shallow water was the best it would do and as low as 8.5 back before the prop change and into a head wind, but now 22.5 (4000) in deep water. And it finally will get up on plane. The low end is great also, it was a dream loading it back on the trailer.
Back to the shop for some fine tuning and off the EVT site to order a exhaust.
