 electric clutch
hello all, I am in the process of building a surface drive with a 15 HP motor and the question I have is your opinion on putting an electric clutch on the unit? This will be cog belt driven not chain. I know there are alot of builders out there with some great products ready to go. this will be on a small 1436 and I have choose to build one due to having a fab/welding shop and to have a fun project. thanks Huntersdream

 Re: electric clutch
I just fabbed one up for a 23hp with a 1" shaft and its a job to get it right. If you engine has an 1 1/8" crank, call MB and get one of theirs other. I'm taking it out tomorrow for the first test run.... I'll let you know how it goes.
