I have been having some issues with my lower unit within the last 6-8 months.. I have already replaced one seal and it looks like im going to have to replace another here pretty soon. I have checked the LU oil by removing the top plug and it looks like a little moisture has gotten in... still somewhat brown in color but definitely turning more on the milky side of things. The last time I ran I noticed the oil was EVERYWHERE(which you will find in the picture attached below) down where the lower unit spins around to go in reverse and coming up through the clutch housing which was "milky" as well.... My question is after september of 2010 (mind was bought in sept. of 2010 )all the PD units converted over to a half grease/oil lower unit. Kp and peck told me they could do it for around $200. Well has anyone had this conversion kit done and whats your thoughts on it thus far? Would you do that or go and keep buying seals for $100 evertime? Just trying to get some input.

I would do the conversion, I've had mine sine sept 2011 has 130 hrs and havnt had any problems with seals. it's worth the 200 bucks if u keep having to change them out
