Bend the torque tab |

X2 on bending the torque tab, also make sure u have normal load centered in the boat , having too much weight on one side or the other makes it pull I used a large cresent wrench and went to the lake and kept bending it till you get all the torque out, mine is at about a 45 degree angle so don't be scared to bend it |

I bent my Mudbuddy a total of 1 inch further than it came from the factory. It doesn't pull either way now. Just bend a little at a time a try it out before making further adjustments. 3/4" was almost perfect, so I went 1/4" more that did it. I used a pipe wrench and cheater pipe and bent at the factory bend crease, not at the tip. |

Do you have a GT boat and motor or did you just buy the motor and stick it on the boat, if so then make sure motor is correctly centered on transom. first look other than that try what the guys above me said |

Move your ass 6 inches one way or the other and see what happens before you go bending that tab. |

My boat was perfect after bending skeg 1 inch with no tiller torque at all. Just moved trolling motor battery (74lbs)to rear center to make room for ice chest under the deck and it ain't perfect any more. Just has a little tiller torque now. Plus I lost a tad bit of speed (1 mph)and need to run 100 rpms higher. These boats are finicky. |

from what i have been told you can move it an inch at a time to find the sweet spot but mine was already bolted center so i just bent the skeg a bit to fix. my motor doesnt pull at all anymore |
