 GTR35 power trim rebuild kit?
I have a GTR35 that the trim stopped working on. Found out the bolt that held the cylinder to the piston backed out. Tore the unit down and fixed the issue. Now fast forward a couple of weeks and a few boat rides it stops again. Not for the same issue, now the motor is full of fluid. tear it all back down clean up the motor ect.. call up GT and ask about a seal rebuild kit and was told to send it to them and they will fix it for 180 bucks. Does anyone know how to get a seal kit for these units? All I really need is the 2 little o-rings that go on the motor shaft and seal the pump. No body seems to want to sell you the parts to fix these units.
Thanks for the help

If you send it to them, I think they replace the shaft/ram with one made of stainless also.

What it is the manufacture of the trim puts alum on alum gt replaces with a SS shaft so you don't have the seal problem anymore

Re: GTR35 power trim rebuild kit?
its not the ram that is leaking. there are 2 seals on the gear end of the motor that are allowing fluid to pass into the motor housing. The motor stops wrking since its full of oil. The rod and piston I belive is stainless will have to double check.

Re: GTR35 power trim rebuild kit?
Baiter, I had this same issue. However I sent my unit to Hoyt and he fixed/upgraded the unit for free. Those little o rings are nothing special. You can buy an assorted o ring kit that should cover it. You might stick some calipers on them to get an idea of the size. I was asking about a seal kit and Gtr wouldn't share.
