Was out running the new boat yesterday and got into some nasty mud. I had to trim the motor up and down a lot to get out and at one point the trim stopped working. I'm thinking it might have just got hot and needed to cool down because after about 30 seconds it started working again. My problem is now if your trimming the motor up and stop i have to trim it down first for a little and then i can trim it all the way up. It doesn't matter where you stop at it dose it at any position. Plus when you trimming it up it doesn't seem like there is any power behind it. Any ideas on what could be the issue? |

Could be a bad switch or air in the hydrolic line. My fpr acted the same and ended up bein the switch. |

Check the connections on the switch. Mine was doing the same and it was a loose connection. |

My trim started acting up yesterday. When I try to trim up, it doesn't always respond. It's not slow or anything, it either works or it doesn't. I'm thinking the switch is bad because all my connections are tight. |

Its the switch in both cases. Do yourself a favor and order 2 of them. One for spare. |

Try moving the wires on the switch the next time it happens while pressing the trim switch. I found that the crimp was on the insulation instead of the bare wire causing no voltage and weak voltage.I replaced the push on connector and coated all the connections with dielectric grease. I do carry a spare switch just in case crap happens. |
