Had something happen on Sunday and I'm not sure what the issue is... I'm not mr. mechanic so I need your input. I have the old style motor (controls not on the tiller handle). When I move the switch from "Start" to "Forward" nothing happens until I rev it up (about 3000rpms) and then it drops into gear. I assume its something simple, but need your advice on where to start looking. I figured it might be a common issue. It didn't do it when I started that day, but did it in the afternoon and then went away completely and now is back. What's the problem? |

Sounds like you got a bad connection on one of your wires or your clutch is going out |

Check your power wire on back of your key switch |

sound electrical....like revving it up puts enough charge to put it into gear...check your battery and all connections first...... |

It the red single wire on Back the key switch. Loose connection |

mine did that when it blew the 25 amp fuse |

My connection on back of the switch itself was just rubbing up against the contact, check there also |
