Post subject: | Prodrive- HELP |
For all the prodrive experts I have the chance to purchase a 05 prodrive and want some advice of fixing it. The engine runs great but the clutch is burnt. Also I would want to change the bearings and seals in the lower unit to make sure its all OK. Have any of yall done this and how much of a PITA was it. Also what kind of cost am I looking at? I called Prodrive and they are all busy to give me a cost so I want to see if any of you know. |

Clutch is just under $300. As far as the rest goes, I would suggest pulling it and shipping it to PD for them to go through it, then you would have a 1 year warranty on all new parts installed by them. |

Do you know how many hours are on it? As long as it isn't leaking, change the gear oil, run it a little and check the oil, if it's still clean and no water, you may not need anything but a clutch. You can change the clutch yourself. |
