A few guys had replacement shafts made for their Dixies out of Chrome-Moly |

GT, MB, and PD shafts are stainless. GD uses a steel shaft. |

On the non threaded? Id be afraid to run a stainless threaded shaft with a stainless prop as bad as stainless gaulds |

If your looking to get one made, call aluminum and stainless and get some 17-4 PH stainless boat shaft. Its straightened, polished and ground to boat shaft specs. |

If I was going to go through the hassle of custom machining one, I would probable use something like Aquamet 22. |

I always use 17-4 H1150 or 4140 turned ground and polished. 17-4 is a bit oversized for most bearings though. |
