Hey Guys,
I finally got approval to share a few details about the new line of Dixie Mud Motors.

Here is a sneak preview of the new lower unit. This lower unit will be on all the now motors no matter the horsepower. It will have a cavitation plate too, it's just not mounted in this picture. Also the whole motor will be shaft driven. No belts to slip or jump off the pulley or break. They will have solid helical cut gears that are a lot stronger.

Will they be field tested and proven before put out?

To me it seems a little backwards for a company to have a "Promotional Staff" when they don't actually have a product on the market.

That bottom skeg piece looks dumb. I this has already been tested, beat to shit, ran "without" oil, and high temps, then this mist have been planned before mike let go.
If my dixie lu "messes" up doe it get replaced with the new skeg under warranty? Who do i contact about warranty?

After viewing the image, Full power reverse can't be instant. It'll still be reverse with thrust from a backwards prop. Or it won't be instant, a-la prodrive (not knocking the fpr PD makes, just the stated fact from the OP on the reverse option being false).

Post subject:  Re: New Dixie LU

The new Dixie skeg is so big because it uses a much larger prop than the standard mud motors on the market today. It uses a prop more similar to some of the custom "super godevil" rigs that have been built with big inboard engines and a tailshaft out the transom.

If and when a skeg bends you have to replace a lower unit. Congrats
