 gears on a mb
If I have a 38 on top and a 50 on the bottom and I put a 52 on the bottom will that give me more rpms at the prop

Oh shit, man I read incorrectly. That will actually slow your prop for the rpms turning, you would need a 48 to pick up prop speed. Sorry

Yeah more gears lower reduction, less gear more rpm

If you put gears on it I doubt it will go anywhere, might want to try pulleys.

The 50 tooth will have better holeshot and load carrying (turn more rpms) then a 48 tooth would. What RPMS are you running?
