men,
i run a 2013 1660 gd w 2013 35 gdsd. i have 130 hrs on the prop. ive lost about 6 mph WOT w just me. should i just get the new gdsd 3 blade or do yall have any other recommendations?
im running about 24mph @3900-4100 w just me and 9 gallons of gas. new it would bump 30.5
seems like it has to be the prop to me...

Those motors run the best at 3600 to 3800 RPM's. Can you take a pic of your prop close up? Those RPM's and that speed
Suggest to me that it is a worn prop

i messed with the throttle screw a bit so that there isnt a rev limiter which i think helped a bit with the RPMS(load carrying) but with the sand/stumps.veg ive run over the last 125 hrs, it has to be done. on another note, how big a difference would getting a MAC exhaust make? I need to bit more power when i have its loaded to the gills.

i know thatll make the biggest difference, but im not sure i want to do all that and mess with the longevity/reliability of the motor. I was thinking that the exhaust would be a good way to get a little more performance without hurting it in the long term

If your afraid to mess with heads run a mikuni carb. When your valves go to leaking do your heads. Carb will at least run like a motor should and not a piece of lawn equipment.
