Post Trim problem
I just bought a 2011 36hp pd with hydraulic trim. My question is, when you trim it up it goes all the way up until it hit the plate, and when you trim down it will go way down. All most to where the prop is under the boat. Is there a stopper that I am missing to keep it from trimming up and down so far? Please help

If it stops when you let off the button, it's working as it should.

 I might have been a little lit when I made that comment, Sorry koenigseder!

If its not stopping when you release the button then your switch contact plates are sticking ( to much amperage) or the switches detent isn't working . Could be a bad switch, bad connection, or your pump/motor may have issues causing a higher amp draw.

But imo something doesn't sound right, if the switches contacts are sticking then why does it disconnect when it hits the motors travel stops? It should load up the pump.

Excessive amperage breaking the circuit ?
