 3 blade prodrive prop
Hey guys I will be having my new 36 prodrive installed on Monday. I was just wondering if someone can give me some info on the 3 blade prop. What are the pros and cons compared to the 2 blade. Thanks guys.

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
Well as of Monday of this week when I spoke with Prodrive the 3 blade is your only option for the Gen 3 lower. They are getting closer to having another option but it won't be ready for another month or two is what I was told. The 3 blade pulls well but there is some room for improvement on the top end for sure.

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
This will be my first prodrive my previous mud motors were a gd Lt and a 35 mud Buddy. I see they list a few New parts on the prodrive website so hopefully mine will have all of the updated stuff.

That sure sounds good to me. Thank you so much for the info. I'll post my opinion of it once I get to put it in the water.

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
I like my 3 blade. Does really well on the low end and hauls a good load. If they can get another 2 mph or so out of them on the top it'll be a beast of a prop

Well how did it run for you. I just took my new pd out last weekend and I loved it my brother has a gen two and tho empty he is bout 3 mph faster with a equal load of 3 ppl we run bout the same cause my gen 3 has so much more low end. Just interested in how yours did

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
I've gotten to go out riding and hunting a few times. I'm happy with it so far. It seems to run about the same with a hunting load or just two people. Seems to run between 24-26 iv hit 27 southbound in the river but I'd call it a consistent 25mph and so far I'm super happy with the way it handles the shallow water, grass and mud that I have put it thru. Soooooo much easier to go thru nasty stuff then my mudbuddy was. And having that mean ass reverse is priceless.

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
Yes the reverse is most defiantly a great thing I went with the hydraulic reverse and it was well worth the extra money

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
I think I might upgrade to that in the future. Maybe after the E2 kit.

 Re: 3 blade prodrive prop
Bad thing about a 3 blade is in grass it's hard to get on step and in mud it blows out more than a two blade the good jumps up on step like a 4o outboard so hold on when you first take off load carrying is also better and no vibration at all you feel like your driving a out board
