It's a 2013 23 Dixie surface drive, it all has only 46 hours on it an for sale. But it needs new seals an bearing an prop shaft the bottom pulley I guess you'd call it just sheared off clean from I guess not greassing it an needs that. I was wondering if it would be worth getting for 800 bucks. I know they went out of business so not sure about getting parts or parts made. I'm not buying a buddy of mine is. Thanks for any info on this.

It was a design flaw from the factory. I know a fella that had the same problem out of a 6.5 hp Dixie.

The parts can be made if you can find a good machinist.

x2^ Not sure what that 23 briggs runs new but for 800, and maybe a few hundred dollars in machine and welding work, youll have a decent mud motor.

yeah on my 7hp dixie i took the lower end apart after only 7 hours and found 2 out of four of the china made bearings were gone. upgraded that and got a new shaft built for around 40 bucks. you definitely getting what you pay for with that.
