Post subject: | Stock 35 GTR Prop Question |
I've got about 100 hours on a GTR 35, 17.5' Gatortail extreme hull. My 2 blade prop (stock GTR prop) is shot... and after idling 13 miles this past weekend because I couldn't get on step....It's time for a new one... I duck hunt this boat, make long runs (13 mi.) I am curious what prop is going to tote the heaviest load? 2 blade vs. 3 blade, 10 P, 11P.....etc? Is there any aftermarket props that do better? Thanks in adavance guys... |

My 10p 3 blade on my 1854 also does as well as I could ask. |

I know this is probably all over MMT, but what's the benefit of the 3 blade over the 2 blade? I've heard it runs smoother in your hand, gains a little holeshot, but slower and not is good in the mud and grass. |

I have about 60 hrs on mine and haven't been in a situation where I wanted a 2 blade.. When in reverse the grass will ball up initially. I just hiit it in forward to clear the prop. Then nail it again in reverse. The key is to have the rpms up pretty good in reverse. |

I've read somewhere here that with a stock motor, and a 45 tooth pulley you better stick with the 2 blade. My mottor is a 2013 GTR 35 STOCK.....I am assuming it's the 45 tooth pulley |
