PD manual reverse kit part question
I am trying to figure out what this piece is for that came with the manual reverse kit I got yesterday. Given that yesterday was Christmas eve and today Christmas day I wont be able to contact prodrive and I am trying to get everything put back together to hunt in the AM. If someone can give me some info as to what the purpose of this piece is that would be great. It is a cylinder about 2.5 inches long x 2 wide that looks like it goes on the shaft somewhere. I also ordered a new clutch when I removed the clutch I didn't see a piece that looked like it so I figure it does with the reverse kit

Re: PD manual reverse kit part question
If its what i think it is, it goes inbetween the clutch and the engine. You didn't have to pull the clutch so don't worry bout it.

Re: PD manual reverse kit part question
I did pull the clutch .. It had went out on me so ordered a new one and figured since I had it broken down might as well get the reverse kit as well. When I pulled the old clutch I didn't see that piece. Is it possible that piece could be for a 36 shaft? I have a 27 just the clutch assy. Bolted to the shaft. I am going to go Work on it after I get home from my lady's family.

Re: PD manual reverse kit part question
Fairly certain i had one on the 27 and the 36. You may have lost the other when you pulled the clutch, may still be on the shaft...dunno. It goes on the crank shaft, tapered side up (towards motor), then the clutch, then spline adapter.

Re: PD manual reverse kit part question
I forgot to say this but it was funny that you replied because I was reading your thread ab the reverse kit and pin puller you had and thinking to myself after I made this thread " man I hope cb sheds some light on this because he has seen and dealt with these a lot" but at the same time saying " man it's Christmas Day what's the chances someone will even chime in lol " ... N then ASAP a reply from the elf on the shelf cb thanks buddy just might be able to get after them in the morning.
