 What prop
Hey guys new to the forum, I have commented as a guest but just made my account to post.
I hunt shallow cypress swamp so I am looking for a prop to best fit that. What yall think?
During the fishing season I just fish shallow marsh with no stumps at all so I am looking to boost my speed. ??
I just have my stock prop on right now and it has taken a beating with cypress stumps among other things getting to my duck ponds.
Boat Specs: Xpress Bayou 16V 16x50 with a GTR35.
All stock, want to get a new exhaust soon and get it powder coated black.

 Re: What prop
Not sure if the failed exhaust coatings were powder coating or what but I cant think of any reason why you couldn't have your exhaust ceramic coated and have it last. Powder wont hold up to high temps ceramic will

 Re: What prop
They tried the standard cerakote. Cerakote has a high temp header paint that should be more functional. It deals with higher temps than these things spit out the headers. Should expand and contract a lot better with the muffler. Just an fyi, there are many people that can apply cerakote, but few (even those certified by cerakote themselves) that can apply it correctly to maximize the advantages the coatings provide. Whether or not the application is truly done right can affect whether or not the air cure or bake on does what it's supposed to. The header paint isn't quite as finicky, and has shown to hold up well in motocross applications. Maybe it'll hold up on these things. Maybe not. Who knows.

 Re: What prop
Was not started why, just that they didn't work. I will agree that cerakote can be done wrong, but that's allot of money to coat a muffler. Also does the vibration play a part in coatings not sticking? I'm not sure but go ahead and try it and let us know how it goes.
