Trim on 2009 GT 23hp. Trim works when engine is running but will not operate when it is off. Anyone have this problem? |

Nope. Turn key to just on position but trim doesn't work. Start engine up and trim works ok. I had found a bad purple wire going up in trim but still no luck. May have to open it up and do a little more searching. |

So has it always done that? I can't really see any way that it would have just started doing it. |

No it worked fine last year. Changed both trim relays also last year. It must be just running off alternator or something. Battery starts it good, but may not have enough juice to make trim work by it self. Will try a hotter battery maybe. Thanks for the help |
