Have any of you changed the inner bearing on a Beavertail surface drive? I'm having a hard time removing the snap ring.. Also what is the best prop for a stock 35 hp surface drive? Thanks!

You might be the only guy running one here.
How do you like it?

It's ok..... I don't think the lower unit is as solid as a mud buddy... I change the rear seals every year. I don't like how the clutch and belt housing isn't vented like all the others.... I had a clutch go out the second year I ran it...

I just changed all 4 of the shaft bearings. The snap rings are tough to get out and I had to grind down my snap ring pliers to get it to fit but eventually they both came out (one of front and rear). Even harder than that is trying to explain the Beavertail what parts I needed, took them 22 minutes to figure out what bearings, seals, and gaskets were.

Bueller make sure you save those bearing and seal numbers..... I went down to our local bearing shop in town and they got me both the same bearings and seals for very reasonable..... Have you kept your motor all stock??
