 GTR prop nut
I bought a new MB BB to try on my GTR and am having a hell of a time getting the prop nut to break loose. I sprayed it with a penetrating oil, pounded on my driver and socket with a dead blow, started the motor and put a 2x4 in the prop to keep it from spinning.... Don't have a breaker bar lying around but I'm going to try that next or heat!? It is a 2010 and it looks to be the stock GT prop. Does it usually take this much force to get them off!?

 Re: GTR prop nut
No it's probably rusted on there keep soaking it with pb blaster then take long pull handle and socket and hit the pull handle while holding the prop still

 Re: GTR prop nut
Put a pipe wrench on the prop to hold it, then the box end or longest socket you have for leverage. Use both the pipe wrench and socket to get it moving. It can take a lot if it didn't have antiseize on it, and if r he person that tightened it down used an impact (yes, I've seen it done).

 Re: GTR prop nut
If you can borrow a cordless impact for just a few seconds, it makes a big difference.

 Re: GTR prop nut
Soaked it all morning and kept bumping it with the dewalt impact. Finally broke loose after putting the socket and driver back on it with a bit more handle! What do yall typically run for antiseize? Ol silver?

 Re: GTR prop nut
Standard antiseize. Works fine. Just use plenty.
