 Re: hopkins cleaver
If you want to spend 500 bucks on a prop go for it. You should have plenty of motor to sling it. Theres more pitch to a clear vs the tulip pro drive props. You should gain top end speed.

 Re: hopkins cleaver
Mine only cost me $300, new. You can get the Cleaver to whatever pitch/diameter you request from Hopkins. But, then again, you can have the factory Tulip pitched to whatever you want by any prop guy worth his salt for less than a bill.
You will need some pitch added if you are running a light boat. You also have the option of adding more cup. Best bet is to bring what you have to somebody like LA Prop or Baggy and tell them what you are getting out of it now at what RPM's, let them know what kind of hull (heavy/light, long/short, skinny/wide) and tell them what you want to get out of the prop rework. Strictly speed? More load carrying? Better bite in the mud?
You won't get all 3 from the same prop. You're best to pick a happy medium somewhere that suits YOUR BOAT's needs....or, buy 3 different props.

 Re: hopkins cleaver
Thanks for the info. I don't run a lot of mud here in north east Texas mainly stumps and sand.
