Big Blade does not like cypress knees and roots!
prop1.jpgprop2.jpgShit took a trip thru the slough, shallow and lots of cypress roots and knees. Big blade slung a blade off in open water the morning without hitting anything! WTH!!!! only about 90 hrs on it too!!! BTW replaced it with a Hammer!

That sucks. I just put a brand new on, ran it one time through a bit of hard bottom/mud (no stumps) and noticed some micro striations on the leading edge. Hope that doesn't happen to me!

I didn't look for cracks or anything after the rough run. I just got up the next morning and went to check my trotline and on the way back about 50 yds. from my boat ramp in open water it just came off and the motor acted like it was going to blow! But the hammer prop sure does make a difference over that big blade! Still hitting rev limiter(4350) under light loads!

Whats up CC? I just put a hammer prop on and I lost 3mph with the same load as my big blade. It has good hole shot and backs up better. At least all you got was a prop. I tore my lower off 2 weeks ago.

It took a beating on the Tx side of Toledo. Water was shallow, ground was hard & big ass stumps everywhere. Then was just running and it kicked sideways as I was going across a flat that was soft. Not sure if there was a pipe there or not. I do have 2 brown streaks on the back side of my prop after that that wont come off. Not sure how those got there.
