I get done hunting yesterday. Load up the boat trim the motor up. As I'm strapping down the boat the trim comes on and won't stop. I had to disconnect the battery to stop. Any ideas? Thanks happy holiday

Ok I changed trim switch, both relays, and both fuses. Still doesn't work. I think it's the motor. Can I buy a motor of eBay for 130$ or do I need to replace everything which would cost about 700$. Thanks for the help.

A couple have bought just the motor from Amazon or eBay, they posted the part number. Maybe someone will chime in

Amazon .com Mercury replacement trim motor. It is a direct replacement #809885A $122. Magnets came unglued in Motors case and locked it up in mine. Save your drive pin that goes in to pump, otherwise you may have to shorten the one that comes with motor. Will have to add fluid to resivour, because you will loose some when removing it from pump housing. They are self bleeding so you may hook it up to a battery, and run the cylinder up and down a few times to get air out of it. We clamp them up in vise and do this. Reverse pump wires to battery to reverse motor for up and down. Check res. level before installing back on motor. Saves much $$ over one from MB.

Chris, is this the new mercury trim switch that comes on the HDR's? If so I like that switch. Should hold up much better than the old ones.
