Changed my plans on getting the Mud Buddy HDR. Picked up a frame from a ’13 35 Vanguard GTR – and am going to mount my 25 Robin on it. GatorTail confirmed it will bolt up with the addition of a “bar” bracket, which I ordered for $44.00. They also said the gearing was the same on both models. The prop is the only other thing I need to change. That being said, I’m told the prop I’ll be getting is as 11.5’’ 10.5P. What do you guys recommend on prop? Its going on a 16.5 x 48 Uncle J that is going to be pretty heavy. Rigged hull with no people will probably come in around 675. |

I've always run the stock prop on my 25. The only mods to props I have heard about was the refuge props require a little more cup. I think the normal 25 props are the same as the 35's but 1/2" or 1" trimmed off the diameter to make it 11.5" total. At least that's all that looks modified on mine. |

GatorTail said the 35 prop wouldn't work on the 25. I didn't ask what their 25 prop was though - thought I might get a little better feedback on here. |

The best prop is the one it comes with. You can get a second hand big blade or hammer and have Jay tweak it. I was running a modded hammer on mine before I sold it. Got pretty much the same performance but didn't wear like the powertech. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Tweak wasn't the right word, he did a lot more than tweak it lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

When I bought my 25gtr I ordered it with 2 props, with the intent to have one modified into a refuge legal prop. When I got home I realized one prop was unpolished and 12" diameter, and one had been polished only around the outside edge and measured 11.5". I use the 11.5" and had the 12 cut to a refuge 9". I'm with you though on the idea that there may be a better or more efficient prop design. |

That same mod hammer ran 34 on John B's extreme yesterday with plenty of leftovers. |

I can attest to Jay's prop work! Took my barge of a boat up 2-3mph with prop work alone! |
