Post subject: | Review of MB 3 blade |
Finally got to test the 3 blade today and I was nervous after seeing the small hub on the prop. Im running a big boat, 2054 with 3/16 bottom and pushing it with a MB 7000. I had my 90 lab , trolling motor and extra 2 batteries in the boat for the test run. It was 78 degrees and I was comparing it to a hammer prop which performs awesome on my boat but it has alot of out of balance vibration thats killing case gaskets. I ran all deep water and can say I was impressed with the 3 blade. It ran consistently 31 and 32 and would bump 33 on occassion. Holeshot was almost identical to the hammer and the vibration was almost non existant. All the top speeds were about 4400 to 4500 rpms. So for my boat MB 3 blade was a success. Another side note, seemed to like to be ran a little lower and threw less rooster tail for me. |

What RPM were you turning with the hammer? |

Maybe 100 more rpms with the hammer but it was a couple years old so it was worn some. The hammer was a great prop for me minus the case gasket issues. |

Nice review on the MB 3 Blade. How much does it cost to get a prop balanced? Might get that Hammer balanced and have a solid spare. |

Yes I think that is correct on the size, not 100% sure. Anyone know how to get in touch with LA props? I would like to have my hammer balanced and cupped a little. |

Close to the same speeds with hammer, picked up prolly a mph, maybe 2. Hard to say exactly because of the odd load I had in the boat. |

The me 3 blades need a little work out the box due to slippage. |
