Re: should I change my prop
West end- What type of prop is the new one? The old one looks like a cleaver?
I had a seized prop and I made a prop removal tool over the weekend that worked like a charm. I bought a 3-4 foot long, 1/4 inch thick, and about three inch wide piece of steel from Home Depot, and then drilled a 3/4 inch hole about 6 inches up from the bottom. Slide the steel on to the shaft through the 3/4 inch hole and wedge the bottom of the steel on top of the bottom blade, and underneath the top blade. A few good turns it will turn with ease by hand.
Pro Drive manual has a picture of one, and I just made it. Works great!
