IMG_1266.JPGI was changing the oil and greasing my pro drive 36 2011 Noticed oil coming out of a plastic slug, I can pull it out and doesnt seem to stay in place. Is this normal or can I just gorilla glue it back in place. Did I put to much oil in? I filled it up to the top of the 2nd plug or the highest one. |

2nd question I have as I have never changed the oil on the lower unit near the prop. Do I fill from the bottom and fill till it comes out of the top?IMG_1269.JPG Lastly this a combo of grease and oil? |

I have filled from the top and the bottom. My person experience is I like to fill from the top due to less mess. But and it a big but.... when you fill from the top, when you think its full and its about to come out of the hex plug hole, rotate the prop by hand and continue to rotate the prop and few times. The level will drop. repeat until its full. |

On the first question, you don't put oil in that plug. There is a grease zert behind that lowest pipe plug, and you put a couple shots in. That plastic plug is where the tension knob for the reverse would go if it was a short shaft. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk |
