14HP mudbuddy. Decided to replace this crappy prop. Barely pushes me unless I trim all the way and can barely get 10mph with a 1648 alumacraft not loaded. Prop measures 9.5inches.
Supposed to be 10. And it's all around sharp and jagged.

I got the nut off but now the devil of a prop is stuck. It's a threaded shaft
Searched all over trying to find answers got some vague answers. Can anyone be specific or give me an idea.

Piece of flatbar with a hole in one end that slips over the shaft. Needs to be 3ft or so for leverage. Use that to break it loose.

If you have a short piece of 2x4 handy you can drill a hole in one end and probably make that work also

I'll add that when trying to turn prop. The whole shaft spins with prop.

You may have to take the outdrive off and hold it from the other end somehow. I'm not completely sure as I have a hex shaft. Google search mud buddy threaded shaft prop removal. I'm sure there has been a thread on this before. Go ahead and put the penetrating fluid to it now.

Chances are you're going to need to get the outdrive off. Find a way maybe to secure the pulley enough to break the prop. If you use heat you'll probably have to replace seals then.

What you gotta do is hold your prop wrench on the prop. Have a buddy crank the motor as you hold the prop wrench and the power of the motor will spin that sucker right off.

Haha. Yeah I'm totally gonna do this hold my beer. I do not want to cut. Might just end up removing shaft. Idk.

Is the prop supposed to be right up on the bearing/bushing housing cap like that? Looks like its jammed on the cap to me. That'll slow you down.

Found shallow water to. Motor doesn't do me no good at all as it sits right now.
Trying to go through less than a foot of water it bogs down then bites and pushes forward and then looses bite. And repeats. And repeats..

My 2.5 cents! Back in the day when I ran a GDLT had the same problem. Worked at for 2-3 hours, finally after totally giving up, I start the engine and rev it up and down for about 3 minutes then damnit if it didn't spin right off when I killed it! Might be worth the try?

With the board or flat bar in place, smack it with a maul or heavy hammer real hard. Try to work it like an impact wrench.

Just cut it with a cutting wheel and stop just short of the threads, then drive a cold chisel in the cut. Will come right off after that.
