My skeg is pretty loose I can move it up and down about 1/4" and side to side 1/4+" each way. I have less than 20 hr on it. I can tighten the bolts no problem but should I try and claim this on warranty just incase the holes on the skeg got a little egg shaped from it being lose? |

Nothing to claim (IMHO). Things come loose on my rig all the time. Mud motor maintenance 101.....Use the proper loctite on the bolts/ nuts, tighten it up, and check them after every trip out. |

The skeg is welded to the outdrive. You talking about the support brace on top maybe? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk |

The hdr skeg is bolted on the cav plate is welded on the hdr. The hd skeg is welded, just tighten the bolts. |

I tightend the bolts. Got about 1-1.5 rounds out of them which is a lot. I was more worried the holes would get slightly egg shaped and case tightening issues down the road. I didn't use lock tight but I will if/when they come loose again |
