My skeg is pretty loose I can move it up and down about 1/4" and side to side 1/4+" each way. I have less than 20 hr on it. I can tighten the bolts no problem but should I try and claim this on warranty just incase the holes on the skeg got a little egg shaped from it being lose?

Nothing to claim (IMHO).
Things come loose on my rig all the time.

Mud motor maintenance 101.....Use the proper loctite on the bolts/ nuts, tighten it up, and check them after every trip out.

The skeg is welded to the outdrive. You talking about the support brace on top maybe?

The hdr skeg is bolted on the cav plate is welded on the hdr. The hd skeg is welded, just tighten the bolts.

I tightend the bolts. Got about 1-1.5 rounds out of them which is a lot. I was more worried the holes would get slightly egg shaped and case tightening issues down the road. I didn't use lock tight but I will if/when they come loose again
