Installing new lower gear on Mudbuddy question
I have the old gear already off. I know I need to tighten the to Allen head screws to get the taper lock to grip the shaft. I want to know how tight can I go without stripping something and should I use red Loctite . There was no sign of Loctite on the screws when I removed them. They weren't loose but I had know trouble loosening them. Just looking for some good tips.

No loctite. You can get a real good snug on them and they won't strip. Just use a regular Allen wrench or hand screwdriver with the appropriate bit. No need to torque them to 8000 ft lbs or anything.
