BELT TENSION QUESTION:
I put a new belt on and tensioned it to 20lbs since that's the requirement on Mudbuddy motors. I ran it on the water for for about 20 mins. Now the belt has stretched a little and tension is at 15 lbs. The question is, do I now just retention it to 16lbs and keep it there or should I go a little tighter since it's still new?

Run it. When it drops below 13, tighten it to 16, check it for a couple hours, then you should be good to go.

Got it Russ thanks.

One more question. I put a new clutch on and used red Loctite and torque the clutch bolt to 55 foot lbs. Is that good or should I go a little less? I saw gator Trax video where they recommended 55 foot pounds, but also saw some specs on here where someone said 50 ft pounds. It's a 2006 Mudbuddy. Not the new HDR model
