 Question for Mudder
Doing my research as usual and came across this thread from a year plus ago. viewtopic.php?f=41&t=62738I called PD today and was told my 07 PD couldn't be converted to grease / oil. He mentioned if it had a plate on the knuckle instead of the raised Pro Drive name it couldn't be done. Which was yours? Maybe a mid tooling change where yours had the parts but still oil? I bought mine in 07 but it may have been earlier parts?

 Re: Question for Mudder
Sorry Bravo, just saw this. I believe 2008 was the cut off date to do this mod. PD required my PD# which is located on the side of the motor near the transom, I believe. That metal plate tag would have the year(08) stamped as part of the part number on the plate.
Confused by the question though, but my raised PD lettering is located between the two zirk fittings on the side of the lower unit, but the part# plate, which is what I would think they would want, is on the right side of the motor.
Hope this helps, but pretty sure you cant upgrade the 07

I stand corrected. My PD stamp is on the knuckle if that matters.

 Re: Question for Mudder
I also have a 2007 and other than one issue I fixed, it have been flawless. Remember the vent hole I mentioned to you in our phone call a while back? Hopefully you plugged that when you installed the new Kawasaki. Other than that and the lower seals, you should be fine. Now, ever since I installed Prestons (bayouboy) weed cutter, I have had 0 issues with my lower seals tearing from crap wrapped around my prop.
