 Cracked mb outdrive
Seen my outdrive was cracked around the tube so I figured I better regrease it. I pulled the relief screw and it was broke off half way down. So I drilled out what was left in there and got it greased. Do you think I dare run it the rest of the season like this. I don't want to be without a boat. Also has anyone tried welding this with success? I'm sure MB will want to sell me a new outdrive.

Weld it up. They crack there a lot.

You'll be fine. Just make sure it doesn't crack all the way around. I have a spare outdrive I'll sell you for the low if you want. It's a 27"

 Re: Cracked mb outdrive
Thanks guys. I'm gonna weld it and see how that holds. Andy, I'll definitely keep that spare in mind if I wind up needing one.
