I've noticed that polishing and slightly thinning the leading edges of the blade you maintain RPM much better through thick vegetation. I also was able to add cup to the prop afterwards which helped hole shot and helped to keep the boat on step with less RPM

Polishing will put a smile on your face - ;)

But seriously it does help prevent vibration
to keep leading edges smooth with an orbital
sander and adds a mph or two...

It was definitely worth the effort! Threw another guy ( about 120lbs) In with us and held the same speeds as before. Also helped out on cavitation.

What all did you use to polish it and how long did it take? I just got a new three blade prop and I have been thinking about doing the same thing.

Started with 80 then 600 and finished with 1500, used a orbital sander and wet paper. It took a couple days here and there! Lol

Shoulda gator glide it. +3 mph instantly I'm sure. Just kidding man, I didn't think it would make that big of a difference having it polished. Pretty impressed I must say
