Post Need prop advice....
I recently bought a Backwater 35 from a buddy of mine. I am happy ass heck with it. I'm the type of guy to always want more out of things! It currently has a 9x8 prop on it pushing 2 guys and light load (6.5 gallons of gas, 45 quart RTIC) 22 MPH. Is there a prop to get me faster? Current RPMs are 3980, boat is Alweld 1752 @ 380 pounds, me 265 and brother 170. It gets on plane right now. Just curious to see what's out there for different times of the year. I would like to use this prop during hunting season but put a faster one on for playing around.

Prop wont get you very far, Maybe alittle but not much. Be much better off spending your money where it will make more difference like engine mods

"Stage 1" work woukd be
Carb, heads, and exhaust
Or
Heads, cam, exhaust.

You can always add the missing component latter on to get "Stage 2" motor.
"Stage 2"
Carb, Heads, Cam, Exhaust.

It is more expensive but more worth it in the long run, but the best part about it is you can do alittle over time and add the next piece at your own pace. Props wear quick and and don't offer to much gain. If you get to a stage 2 engine build i think its making somewhere around 50hp and actually get you some real gains in hp and torque. Look up Delta Performance and give them a call, they'll hook you up with what you need and price you on everything
