 Hill Marine Signature 12.25x12 prop
Who has tried one? And was it the 10p, 11p, or 12p? At $219 seems it might be a good buy.

Re: Hill Marine Signature 12.25x12 prop
Guess I might just get me one soon as Uncle Sam sends me another check. OH Hell this is the 1st of the month. Got on the phone with them and "they" said they make props for different mud motor manufacturers, if that is true then can cut out the middle man.

Re: Hill Marine Signature 12.25x12 prop
Got the Hill Marine Signature 12.25 x 12 in yesterday. Compared to my hammer, its got alost 1/4" more blade, blades are less rounded and not as wide as hammer, thickness looks to be thinner on leading edge than hammer. the Signature prop throws a higher rooster tail all thru the trim range I was running. had better acceleration than hammer.
Results: 3 adults(195, 190, 145 lbs.) 4450 rpms 28-30 mph against river current and wind, running down and with wind 30-32. The Hammer would bump 32 with less rpms but the Signature hit and held 32 better. All being said Not much different in deep water, except for the acceleration was better with the Signature, both performed pretty close.
Signature $219 including shipping Hammer $276 plus 20.51 shipping

What about vibration? Does that company make a 3 blade also?

Re: Hill Marine Signature 12.25x12 prop
I don't think they make or sell a 3 blade off of their website.
Got the BPS Q, mikuni carb, and Iron Mountain heads, running about 50/50 - 92 octane/100 octane low lead av gas from local airport.
BTW Sat afternoon went and jumped some stumps and cypress knees. Seemed the Signature do not "bog" down when in a bind going over obstructions. And didn't put dents in that 3/16 th bottom.

Re: Hill Marine Signature 12.25x12 prop
I ordered a 12x12p last week I'm hoping it's going to be enough. I was turning the 10p at 4450 stock. I have a mikuni on it now but cam and rockers on the way and I'll be changing heads in the next month or so.

Re: Hill Marine Signature 12.25x12 prop
Already had the Heads, Carb, exhaust, and added an advance timing key yesterday. If its a CDI motor a #2 will make a different low end, more torquey*!!! A #3 was a little much for a CDI, seemed pingy at high rpms. Using 50/50 92 octane/100LL octane-went down on the Lake Caddo actually hitting 4600 a times chopping the veggies. I know CDI advances timing at around 2200 rpms, but low end lacked a little but with the #2 seemed to improve low end and add about 250 rpms at top end. Still using that 12.25x12 2 blade signature it throws them veggies up and away.
*Obliviously "torquey" is not in the dictionary but I'm working on it.
