Ok here goes,,, Have 37hdr efi mb-sd , have had a lot of issues,, most corrected via mb sends parts & I myself repair, all under warranty,,closest repair shop that I trust is 8 hrs away,,,, To get right to point,,, replaced all trans gear assembly and all seals & etc.,,, Every time I test drive after repair , gear assembly loses its 1.5/2.0 oz of 10w30 oil,,, Take cover off , verify trans lost its oil,,, but no evidence of bad seals,,,no leak found, other than all in bottom of drive housing Noticed out on test run the clutch cover gets very hot to the touch,(normal?) could ring seals be heating up, leak oil, then cool after shutdown off motor &return to original intended use ? Trying to find someone that can shed a little light on this,,, Trying to find someone that knows this drive/trans sys very well Please keep sour suggestions /comments away,,, |

There is only a few places it can leak. If it was in front of me i could find it. You have to look at the smallest things. The surfaces where the seals ride. Anything not perfect on the back sides of seals, did the backs get a small calculated amount of rtv in the right spot, anerobic sealer in the right spot, threads sealed. Orings perfect. Fluid running up crankshaft where you can't see it.. just ideas here |
