Im fairly new to the MM scene. Had my '13 PD 36 Gen II for a few months and put about 100 Hrs on it give or take. Ive noticed that when im on plane and scooting along that I get an intermittent rattling sound for about 3 secs at a time ever so often coming from what im assuming is my lower unit (with auto reverse). its loud enough for me to hear it over the motor.

It runs like a dream with no complaints and showing no signs of anything out of place or broken and its something that ive just written off as normal. Ive done a full service on it with the recommended grease with no change.

Any suggestions or is this normal?

May be the cavitation plate? Check all your bolts make sure they are tight!
