Hey guys this is my 1st mud motor and it's time to Change the prop. I just bought a new prop from bps and I thought I would remove mine before it gets here. I got the bottom that off with my impact wrench but I cannot get this prop to budge at all. Not even some wacks with a hammer help. What am I doing wrong? Are there any tricks for getting these off as I know be pretty tight being threaded. The engine is a marsh monster which is pretty much like to go devil beaver tail set up.

Maybe put some anti seize on it before putting back on? What y'all think good idea or not? If not please explain why.

Using a dead blow hammer will work to loosen prop, but have seen bearing races cracked from excessive hammering. Might want to build your self a prop removal bar and use torque to un thread prop. Have seen a cracked race lock up a prop shaft and ruin the shaft.
